Munson Medical Center, a 391-bed regional referral center, located in Traverse City, Michigan, on the shores of beautiful Grand Traverse Bay, is a three-time Magnet hospital. Nurses at Munson Medical Center have a voice in clinical care and professional nursing practice is emphasized. Our current unit has 14 beds to accommodate patients throughout northern Michigan with an emphasis on trauma informed care. In December of 2017, we are thrilled to be moving to a new, state-of-the art mental health unit with 17 beds.

The ideal candidate has a masters degree in nursing and a minimum of 3 years acute care psychiatric inpatient experience. Candidates with a BSN will be considered. This position works closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality, person-centered care to the patients who come to us for treatment. This management position requires the ability to provide leadership through change, and the ability to juggle competing priorities. The position reports to and works closely with the Director of Behavioral Health Services and is key member of the behavioral health leadership team at Munson Medical Center.
