Under the general direction of the Director of Nursing Services, the Clinical Nurse Manager holds 24 hour accountability for the over-all management of assigned nursing unit. Provides leadership and direction in accordance with CVMC/Woodridge policies and regulatory guidelines.
Functioning within the limits of the Vermont Nurse Practice Act, established Code of Ethics for Nurse and Nursing and facility standards, policies and procedures, the clinical nurse manager’s role primarily focuses on assuring the provision of effective, quality care for residents. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of CVMC/Woodridge and Nursing Department.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE Registered Nurse with current Vermont license. BSN required. Master’s degree in nursing and/or health/business administration is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite preferred.
EXPERIENCE 3 years of progressive management experience preferred. 5 years of clinical experience in area of practice with demonstrated leadership/managerial potential which includes interpersonal competence, communication, and excellence in organization.
