The NPD Specialist oversees the Nurse Residency Program aiding with Preceptor Development, Student Placement/Academic Affiliations, and continuing education offerings based on assessed needs.
The Nurse Residency Program helps new graduate nurse residents master the challenges of advances in treatment, healthcare delivery systems, new technologies, and patient acuity. At UCLA Health, you can help nurses develop effective decision-making skills related to clinical judgment and performance.
QualificationsMSN required. MSN in Nursing Education preferred. Three (3) years of recent acute care experience Knowledge of adult learning theory, regulatory agency requirements, program evaluation theory and methods, as well as, program development, implementation, and evaluation Ability to act as consultant/prepare reports and presentations Professional working relationship with nursing and interdisciplinary colleagues
