Primary Accountabilities\:

• Adheres to all Health First, Inc. and Health First Home Care Policies and Procedures.
• Directing all patient care services.
• Ensures competencies and evaluations in Nursing Management and Clinical Staff.
• Incorporates new technologies and interventions for patient care.
• Identifies educational needs of staff and coordinates providing educational classes/in-services.
• Complies with State and Federal Regulations, JCAHO standards reference delivery of Home Care services.
• Meet or exceeds the standards by accrediting bodies and industry standards.
• Assists Director in statistical analysis and in development/assessment of QI Program.
• Serves as a resource to determine staffing needs - in planning, developing and evaluating care.
• Develop/Revise, implement, communicate and monitor compliance with policy and procedures.
• Performs case review with staff on a regular basis to ensure appropriate utilization.
• Assure that staff complete and return required documentation in accurate and timely manner.
• Meets or exceeds the Press Ganey 85th percentile goals as established every year.
• Develops action plans for those areas not meeting Patient Satisfaction
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Acts on behalf of the Director in his/her absence.
• Assists in the development of the annual budget for the unit to include personnel, operational and capital needs.
• Achieves goals of the department within the budget.
• Works with billing department to ensure proper documentation guidelines are followed for appropriate reimbursement.
• Oversee the purchasing & utilization of medical supplies on a cost-effective basis.
• Meets assigned deadlines.
