The Sr. Associate Director manages standards interpretation, which includes all activities associated with the daily operation and coordination of the standard interpretation function for all programs and product lines. Provides interpretation of all Joint Commission standards with special emphasis on standards issues related to specific settings, or accreditation programs, as assigned by the Director. Provides direction and leadership to surveyors addressing interpretation of standards and survey processes. Participates as a consultant in the development and revision of standards and survey process and in support of ongoing accreditation services and special projects. Serves as faculty for surveyor and field education programs and represents the Joint Commission at speaking engagements. In conjunction with operations team, ensures that surveyed organizations receive excellent customer service and that their accreditation needs are met.
