Providence is calling a ( Part Time / Day Shift ) Wound / Ostomy / Continence Clinical Educator to Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in San Pedro, CA.
In this position you will:
Serve as a clinical expert, consultant and facilitator for Providence Little Company of Mary Service Area in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care practices, policies, and educational activities related to selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems, such as complex draining wounds, ostomies, fistulae, dermal ulcers, tubes and incontinence.
Respond to patients and families with knowledge of age specific needs within Division of Nursing and support the Mission Statement and Core Values of Little Company of Mary
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Registered Nurse ( RN ) license
Minimum 1 year acute care experience in clinical specialty area
Previous experience in nurse-peer teaching and ability to communicate with all levels of staff
Board certification as WOCNS Nurse by Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing or ( must obtain within 18 months of hire )
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certification Board ( CWOC )
Graduate preparation in adult education
