VA New Jersey Health Care System (VANJHCS) located in East Orange, NJ is seeking a Physician (Compensation and Pension). Duties include:
Performing history and physical examinations, orders and evaluates appropriate diagnostic studies, and acts within the guidelines and quality indicators set forth by the VA Central Office of Disability and Medical Assessment (DMA);
Performing Compensation and Pension examinations for all claimed medical conditions except those limited to specialists; writes medical opinions to provide very specific information to ensure proper evaluation of the claimed disability by non-medical adjudicating officials of the Veterans Benefits Administration and courts;
Generates Compensation and Pension exam reports; and functions as a resource person to other examiners;
Administrative work, including rendering opinions, is also required.
Work Schedule: Multiple Schedules, this vacancy will either be filled as a part-time (20 hours/week) or full-time (40 hours/week) position.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
