Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
Carroll College, an independent, Catholic, diocesan, liberal arts college located in Helena, MT is seeking an energetic, innovative, and collegial faculty member (non-tenure-track, Assistant Professor) to lead the development of a hybrid Doctorate degree program in Nursing Practice. Working with the Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies and the Office of Academic Affairs, we seek an experienced educator and a visionary program director for this 12-month position. The ideal candidate will be a provocative thought leader with evidence of expertise in clinical practice and excellence in didactic and clinical instruction.
Designing, implementing, and coordinating the nurse practitioner program including seeking accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Curriculum development and evaluation, course scheduling, monitoring adherence to policies, National Task Force Guidelines, and CCNE accreditation standards.
Teach at least two courses per term or as needed by program
Hiring, mentoring, and evaluating instructional and clinical faculty and staff in the program
Assisting with recruitment, retention and advisement of students
Maintaining clinical expertise and certification requirements as a family nurse practitioner by engaging in clinical practice and participating in professional development opportunities.
Establish, maintain, and conduct visits to clinical placement sites, virtual and in person, to assess student performance and appropriateness of clinical site.
Lead marketing and student recruitment efforts to ensure a diverse and high-performing student body.
Monitor and maximize student progression, retention and graduation through the graduate program.
Required Degree(s): Master of Science in Nursing with licensure as an advanced practice nurse (APRN) with a clinical specialty as a family nurse practitioner and a Doctorate in Nursing.
Required Degree: Doctorate in Nursing Practice
Licensure as an advanced practice nurse and certification as a family nurse practitioner
Teaching and administrative experience at the program and/or department level
Currently licensed as an APRN or be eligible for licensure in Montana.
Strong commitment to high quality student-centered online and classroom instruction
Ability to foster a collaborative atmosphere among students, faculty, and staff
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Learning Management Systems, and the use of instructional technology to teach traditional, hybrid, or online courses and serve as a resource for faculty using these tools
