Position Description

Clinical and technical liaison to nursing, medical staff and other patient care areas to coordinate and optimize aspects of planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of clinical information systems.  This position will be responsible for analyzing complex clinical operations and structure processes to facilitate decision making regarding clinical systems. Utilizing the knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine and design information processes, and ensuring information systems are consistent with professional standards of practice. Assists with the identification, evaluation and assessment of new care delivery technology, developing recommendations on the impact of integration with existing workflows and systems. A primary focus of this position is clinical Epic projects and maintenance.

Education and/or Experience:

• Graduate of accredited college or university with current clinical license including but not limited to: RN, pharmacist, respiratory therapist, physical therapist required
• Current CPR/BLS (Healthcare Provider) required and ACLS may be required 
• Bachelor degree in a healthcare related field required or degree in progress with a definite graduation date
• Course work in information systems or informatics preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Master's degree in healthcare informatics preferred
• Health Information System background and additional Information System experience strongly desired

1.0 FTE; full-time, exempt position
