Registered Nurse Shift Supervisor ICU Full Time Nights

Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus for experienced RN / Registered Nurse

Summary

The Registered Nurse / RN Shift Supervisor ICU is part of the departmental leadership team that provides clinical supervision on a shift basis including: coordination and assignment of patient care; functions as a unit patient flow coordinator, facilitating admissions, discharges and transfers; coordinates unit staffing for next shift with the Director/Clinical Manager, Coordinator and/or House Officer; The Registered Nurse / RN Shift Supervisor serves as a clinical and leadership resource and role model for the staff; provides supervisory input into department staff evaluations and performance reviews. The Registered Nurse / RN Shift Supervisor completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Education

Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)

Experience

Required: 1 year RN experience.

Certifications

• Possession of current Texas State License for RN.

• BLS required for all unitsâ��Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Centeror the Military Training Network.

• ACLS required for Adult Critical Care, Telemetry, Interim Critical Care units within 6 months of date of hire or transfer date of RN into unit
