The Deputy Associate Director, Patient Care Services (DADPCS) is responsible for administrative functions of their assigned nursing units/ programs. The incumbent functions as an administrator, educator, and consultant utilizing management theory in collaboration with Nurisng Service and other services. The DADPCS is responsible for the oversight of inpatient and outpatient units assigned to nursing service. The duties include but are not limited to: Serves on VISN and National level committees. Collaborates with service chiefs, supervisors and Nurse Leaders regarding strategic plans and actions. Facilitates the delivery of nursing care and practice in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team and other essential personnel. Handles complaints effectively and promptly and ensures customer centered focus in direction and daily work. Initiates change in the health care system, based on current concepts and findings from research and/ or studies. Serves on task forces, intramural and extramural committees and assures that special projects that meet national guidelines are completed. Collaborates with Quality Management/ Utilization Review in investigating patient and employee incidents and implements corrective action. All other duties assigned. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required Note: This position is not covered by the bargaining unit
