Supervise and participate in a variety of routin e and more complexfood service and food preparation activities. Ensure a dherence to highquality standards and sanitation procedures.
*Supervise and participate in a variety of acti vities of a foodservice unit to include food preparation, distribution, service, andrecord maintenance in an acute care setting. *Ensure adhere nce todiet orders. *Ensure high standards of quality and sanitation byu tilizing established tools and quality monitors. *Provide crosscoverage for all areas if needed *Reviews menus, plan and ordersupplies, equipm ent and fooditems to meet production schedules andmaintain service to c afeteria and patient care units. *Notifiesmanagement of any food shorta ges, menu changes, equipment breakdowns;takes corrective action as neede d to determine appropriate utilization,storage or disposal of foodstuffs . * Communicates with otherdepartments regarding follow through on physician's dietary orders forpatients. *Generates work schedules, assigns j ob specific tasksand coordinates vacations and holidays for staff. *Pro vide crosscoverage for all areas as needed. *Train new personnel and in sureconsistent training of current staff on policies and procedures.*Per form various Human Resource functions to include performanceevaluations, promotions, disciplinary actions and hiring.
