Registered Nurse - Nurse Manger position is at the Tyler Mental Health Out Patient Clinic. The Nurse Manager reports to the Chief Nurse and is responsible for 24/7 operations of the unit, ensuring nursing personnel provide timely nursing care which complies with acceptable standards of clinical practice. The duties and responsibilities for the position includes but are not limited to the following: Demonstrates leadership in nursing care and organizational processes. Responsible and accountable for 24/7 operations of the unit. Oversees the Nursing Staff for the assigned unit for safety and productivity of nursing care. Uses knowledge of the applied principles of evidence-based practice. Responsible for documented outcomes at the program or service level that must be broad and complex and can be demonstrated at any organizational level within the facility, VISN, or VACO. Provides support at the until level, the service level, and the organizational level. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age and cultural-specific components. Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stages, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences. Actively participate in unit/program quality improvement processes and initiatives and customer service programs.
