PRMO Established in 2001, Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) is a fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization supporting all of Duke Health, including Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital, Duke Raleigh Hospital, the Private Diagnostic Clinic, and Duke Primary Care. The PRMO focuses on streamlining the revenue cycle through enhanced management of scheduling, registration, coding, HIM operations, billing, collections, cash management, and customer service. Verify patient demographic private physician off ice IDX. Prepare encounter forms. Investigate and account for missing en counter forms. Audit encounter forms for completeness and next day preparation correct appointment type, clinic preparation process, patient ide ntification, patient check in/out, charge posting, cash management and p atient appointment scheduling. Position also involves customer service, message distribution, ancillary scheduling and preparation and referrals activities. Enter pre-visit orders and prepare new patient charts. Pick up X-rays, office charts, medical records, reports, petty cash and coll ections bag. File history sheets, ancillary reports and all other requir ed patient record documentation. Return medical records. Attach HIPPA/Me dicare documents to the encounter forms. data. Edit IDX as needed. Accur ately identify the appropriate account for patient visit. Present and ed ucate patients on required forms and obtain signature as required by pol icy and procedure. Completes all IDX check-in files and manage all appro priate alerts. Collect and post co-payments and balances on accounts due . Imprint all patient specific chart documents and requisition/transmitt al documents. Copy, file and distribute insurance cards as indicated by procedure. Coordinate all labs/procedures as requested. Maintain accurac y before batching. Batches encounter forms or charge posting in of cash to be collected based on insurance plan. entering the primary care physi cian or referring physician and scheduling tests and others. Report obta ined medical information from patients and referring physicians accurate ly, completely and timely. Disseminate messages according to practice co mmunication standards skills.
