At CareSouth Carolina, you’re not just treating patients—you’re expanding access to behavioral health in communities that need it most.

We’re looking for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant who wants to practice meaningful, integrated care alongside a collaborative team. You’ll work in a Patient-Centered Medical Home model, partnering closely with primary care and behavioral health to support whole-person care.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental status exams
• Diagnose and manage a range of mental health conditions (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, etc.)
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers and behavioral health team members to deliver integrated care
• Provide crisis intervention and ongoing therapy as appropriate
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Participate in quality improvement and Patient-Centered Medical Home initiatives
• Serve as a clinical resource and advocate within the community

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
• Active South Carolina license as an APRN or Physician Assistant
• National certification (PMHNP-BC preferred; NCCPA certification required for PAs)
• Psychiatric certification or CAQ in Psychiatry preferred
• 2+ years of psychiatric experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required

Schedule & Location

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rotating across CareSouth Carolina locations
